This expedition is designed to challenge and reconnect. You’ll heli to one side of a vast mountain range, trek an unmarked pass, and descend to a remote glamp where your host and a hot meal awaits. With no trails and some exposure, it’s a true backcountry adventure—demanding yet accessible, even for first-timers. Let’s talk and see if it’s right for you.

WHO IS THIS FOR?
Parent and child, families, ‘one on one’ quality time, couples, friendship groups, corporates, milestone celebrations, buck’s parties or just because. A reasonable base fitness is required, so is an adventurous mindset. We don’t require you to have any previous experience. There is some exposure and scree traversing. Rope work is not required.
WHAT TO EXPECT
TERRAIN
This adventure is set in high in the alpine backcountry, far from marked trails. The terrain spans rock, scree, tussock with some exposed stages but no technical rope work required.
TRANSFERS
We take care of transferring you between Base Camp and your adventure. Your guide will drive you to and from the heli pad, and join you on your flight to and from your glamp site. All transfers are included in the package.
FOOD
The team from our wood-fired restaurant, Base Camp Kitchen, have created your fire-food experience for your nights at Base Camp and glamping adventure. Your very own cook will prepare all meals, and provide all picnic supplies—things like hot soup, oven baked slices, hot drinks, healthy trail bars and sweets.
GLAMPING
You will sleep in a traditional heavy canvas tent, complete with a wood-fired tent heater (and pizza oven), wool rugs, air mattresses and top-shelf sleeping bags with a nearby toilet tipi.
EXPERT GUIDES
Your guide will be an expert New Zealand Alpine Guide with impeccable credentials and 4×4 driving skills. We take your safety very seriously.
All adventures are carried out by a specialist accredited, audited adventure company with strict safe operating procedures.

HOW TO BOOK
1. GET IN TOUCH
It’s always helpful to discuss your objectives, it creates a much better opportunity for us to ensure the experience is right for you.
2. BOOK & PAY DEPOSIT
On booking, you’ll be required to pay a 10% non-refundable deposit, with the remainder due 14 days prior to your departure day.
3. GET PREPARED
We’ll send you a link to our ‘packlist’ and will provide any technical equipment as part of your package. We also arrange a pre-arrival GoogleMeet with you to answer any questions and discuss your gear requirements.
4. PAY OUTSTANDING BALANCE
You’ll receive the invoice for the remainder of your balance. Payment in full is required 14 days before your departure.
