WHO IS THIS FOR?
This private intimate experience is perfect for families, couples, work teams and friendship groups. Normal everyday fitness is fine and there’s no requirement for any previous experience. The physical challenge can be dialled up or down to suit your group.
WHAT TO EXPECT
TERRAIN
This adventure is set off the beaten (tourist) track deep in the backcountry at a quiet river bend. The terrain surrounding your glamp site will be mostly flat and grassy. Depending on your experience and fitness level, you will have the option to explore more challenging terrain, or nearby lesser-known hiking trails with your guide.
TRANSFERS
We take care of transferring you between Base Camp and your adventure. Your guide will drive you to your glamp site. All transfers are included in the package.
FOOD
The team from our wood-fired restaurant, Base Camp Kitchen, have created your fire-food experience for your nights at Base Camp and glamping adventure. Your very own cook will prepare all meals, and provide all picnic supplies—things like hot soup, oven baked slices, hot drinks, healthy trail bars and sweets.
GLAMPING
You will sleep in a traditional heavy canvas tent, complete with a wood-fired tent heater (and pizza oven), wool rugs, air mattresses and top-shelf sleeping bags with a nearby toilet tipi.
EXPERT GUIDES
Your guide will be an expert New Zealand Alpine Guide with impeccable credentials and 4×4 driving skills. We take your safety very seriously.

1. BOOK A CALL
It’s always helpful to discuss your objectives, it creates a much better opportunity for us to ensure the experience is right for you.
2. BOOK & PAY DEPOSIT
On booking, you’ll be required to pay a 10% non-refundable deposit, with the remainder due 14 days prior to your departure day.
3. GET PREPARED
We’ll send you a link to our ‘packlist’ and will provide any technical equipment as part of your package. We also arrange a pre-arrival GoogleMeet with you to answer any questions and discuss your gear requirements.
4. PAY OUTSTANDING BALANCE
You’ll receive the invoice for the remainder of your balance. Payment in full is required 14 days before your departure.
