ADVENTURE SAFETY
We operate in the great outdoors, off the beaten track, in the wilderness. Your safety is our priority, but it is important that you are aware that this environment comes with risks and safety considerations.
Because our adventures are off the regular trails, you’ll often be walking on uneven ground. You’ll also be carrying your own pack and equipment, which increases the likelihood of slips, trips, and falls. You can reduce the risk of slipping or falling by building fitness ahead of your trip and by bringing gear (including clothing and footwear) suitable for the terrain. Check out our adventure pack list, or contact us for more information.
We operate in National Parks, alpine environments and other outdoor wilderness areas that can be subject to weather events, landslides, avalanches and rockfalls. It’s important that you’re aware of these risks and of the nature of wilderness locations. To find out more, we recommend checking out New Zealand’s Mountain Safety Council resources.
We’re here to help you enjoy the great outdoors. If you have any questions about outdoor and adventure safety, please ‘book a call’ with our Glenorchy-based head of mountain operations, a qualified expert in mountain safety who is happy to answer questions.
